Is having a payment terminal mandatory in Italy?
Italy is one of the countries in which bank cards are used the least. In recent years, the Italian government has decided to tighten the screw with professionals, in a country still very attached to cash. A way to make life easier for Italians and tourists, but also to control financial flows.
The Italian government first encouraged professionals to equip themselves with a TPE by setting up government aid: specific aid for the equipment itself and a tax credit.
Since July 1, 2022, Italy has tightened its measures and now requires professionals to accept card payments, under penalty of a penalty of 30 euros + 4% of the amount refused.
At Nøelse, we provide our customers with TPEs to facilitate their collections. For 15€/month, benefit from a pro account, a card and a TPE.
All our services are à la carte: you only pay for what you use. And since we are sure of our offer, it is of course non-binding.
